Hours:Call Center is open M-TH 8-5, F 8-6

Duties:

Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Northland Area Federal Credit Union in living out our Service Mission, “To be our members’ most trusted financial partner,” by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key element of excellent service is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution. In addition, provide information and member service concerning the credit union and its products and services to credit union members, ensuring the highest quality of member service

  1. Meets all sales goals as established
  2. Meets all established service goals as measured by MemberShoppers
  3. Responsible for serving the needs of members by providing service and information in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner via telephone or other correspondence
  4. Convey product knowledge to members; cross-sell services and inform members on the value of the products and services
  5. Ability to discern members needs for referral to appropriate credit union personnel.
  6. Research and solve routine and member inquiries concerning credit union accounts and services
  7. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the Call Center area.
  8. Knowledgeable in all credit union products and services offered
  9. Process mail transactions, as assigned

 

Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in special assignments and performs other related duties as assigned

    Success Factors / Job Competencies:

    The successful candidate will have a professional approach in dealing with others, work well in a team environment, as well as, display excellent communication skills. This position requires a member-focused, service-oriented and positive attitude. Must demonstrate consistent accuracy and efficiency, as well as, strong attention to detail. Must be able to educate members on credit union products/ services and use sound judgement. Requires strict adherence to confidentiality and protecting member sensitive data. Strong personal computer skills required.

Previous credit union, financial institution, member service, sales or other related experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Typical indoor office work environment with continuous sitting in a stationary position required. Must be able to continuously communicate to others and exchange information, as well as, continuous repetitive use of hand/fingers, such as keyboard typing, telephone, using office equipment, etc. Must be able to continuously think analytically, concentrate on tasks, and remember names and/or details. Requires frequent use of written communication and handling of stress and/or emotions.
