Job Openings: Imaging Specialist, Full Time

Hours:8:00AM to 5:00PM

Duties:

Position will be temporarily assigned to Oscoda until the completion of the new headquarter location and then is intended to be reassigned to Alpena based on the needs of the department and as set forth by management.

Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Northland Area Federal Credit Union in living out its Service Mission, “To be our members’ most trusted financial partner,” by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, facilitate the archiving of all paper documents to optical storage. Provide support to Lending, Mortgages, Collections, and Member Services.

2.  Meets all established service goals as measured by the Internal Service Survey

3. Answering phones promptly and courteously and taking precise and accurate messages, if necessary

4. Prepare documents in a manner which will ensure successful scanning; preparation includes, but is not limited to, removing staples, unbending pages, repairing tears, sequential ordering, and applying bar codes if applicable

5. Operate scanning equipment and maintain maintenance, scan documents at a rate to meet the Credit Union specifications by manually feeding documents into machinery so as to minimize rescans

6. Review each scanned image in software and determine all key words and document type were automatically indexed appropriately from the document; manually index any key words and document type not assigned using software

7. Review each scanned image in software and ensure documents were scanned and meet all accuracy and quality standards; correct or rescan any issues identified

8. Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

9. Manage all data in a manner that adheres to Company security and confidentiality policies

10. Develop and recommend more efficient imaging procedures whenever possible

11. Training of employees on the retrieval of archived documents

12. Attend educational functions as required, especially those related to job duties

13. Must have a good working knowledge of all credit union services

14. Establish and comply with metrics for imaging volumes

15. Prioritize and review monthly necessity of archived documents

16. Assist other departments in launching scanning projects and assist them as necessary with scanning on specific projects

 

Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Additional Desired Attributes:

One or more years of imaging or other related experience

 

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable on credit union services. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail and consistency in accuracy and efficiency. Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently, with a sense of urgency and ownership. The successful candidate will have demonstrated use of good judgment and working knowledge of required imaging equipment and computers, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Misc Comments:

Typical indoor office environment with occasional driving required; must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time in a sitting position. Must be able to occasionally stand and move about or traverse inside the office to access cabinets, files, office equipment, etc. Requires occasional lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent communication to others and exchanging of information and continuous use of hand/fingers, such as keyboard typing, imaging equipment and other office equipment. Must be able to continuously think analytically, concentrate on tasks and remember names and/or details. Required to occasionally handle stress/emotions and use written communication.
