Northland will not charge you a fee for using your debit card. However, some merchants may set a minimum purchase amount or charge a surcharge.
A debit card withdraws money from your account as a check does; therefore it debits your account.
You can use it to make purchases at any retailer that displays the MasterCard logo. Your checking account will automatically be debited as if you'd written a check.
At an ATM, you may use it to withdraw money from your checking, and also from your savings if you authorize the card to be set up that way.
For more information, please stop by your favorite branch location or call us at 989-739-1401.
There is no charge for the initial debit card. In the event the card is lost, stolen or damaged, you may request a free replacement. A $5.00 fee may be charged for excessive replacement requests.
Northland’s debit card offers the convenience of accessing available funds to make quick and easy purchases without the hassle of writing a check. Daily limits include:
- $7,500.00 per day for most accounts
- $500.00 per day for Fresh Start Checking accounts
- 15 transactions per day
Northland debit cards are accepted anywhere you see the MasterCard logo. Funds will be automatically deducted from your share draft checking account.
Northland debit cards may be used outside the United States. We recommend that you notify us prior to your trip so we can put a travel notice on the card to prevent it from being blocked for suspected fraudulent activity. Some countries may be blocked from debit card usage. For additional information, please call 989-739-1401, Mon-Thu 8-5, Fri 8-6.
